Argument in Hopkins County Wednesday Leads to Injury, Arrest



            One man was arrested and another was injured after an incident Wednesday in Hopkins County.
            The incident, according to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, took place on West Kentucky Road.  54 year old Dwayne Cates allegedly fired a gun at 49 year old Daniel Martin, and his girlfriend, 48 year old Christy Brownell after an argument.
            Martin was struck in the leg and was transported to Regional Medical Center where he was being treated for non life threatening injuries.
            Cates was located behind his residence and arrested.  He was charged with first degree assault and wanton endangerment.
