Arrest Made in Monday Assault Case in Nortonville



            An arrest has been made in the Nortonville assault case that we first told you about yesterday (Tuesday).
            According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, 34 year old Curtis Brasher was apprehended in Nashville at about 4:00am Tuesday after a warrant was obtained for him on an attempted murder charge.
            On Sunday, 66 year old Sherry Brasher had been severely assaulted with an edged weapon at her East Pine Street residence, according to the Sheriff’s Department.  She was transported to an unnamed hospital where she underwent emergency surgery.  She is currently listed in stable condition.
            Curtis Brasher is the victim’s step son and was identified as a suspect.
            He is awaiting extradition back to Kentucky.
