Evansville Confrontation Tuesday Leads to Injuries
An Evansville man alleges he was stabbed early Tuesday morning. Matthew Stevens told Evansville Police he saw a person allegedly try to steal a neighbor’s car in the 600 block of Ravenswood Avenue at 12:30am. During a confrontation, Stevens was reportedly stabbed in the chest. His injury was minor and Stevens refused medical treatment. He told police he was able to hit the suspect with a brick in the forehead during the fight. The suspect is described as a black male, 200 pounds, with dreadlocks, and last seen wearing blue pajama pants and a blue, long-sleeve, button up shirt, and may have a brick shaped injury in his forehead. Anyone with information on who the suspect might be is asked to call Evansville Police.
