Henderson Man Arrested after Saturday Night Pursuit

A Henderson man was arrested Saturday night after trying to give the slip to authorities at a traffic safety checkpoint.
Kentucky State Police say they were conducting the checkpoint at US Highway 60 East in Henderson County when 44 year old Jason Brown tried to avoid being stopped just after 11:00pm.
Brown allegedly turned onto Tillman-Bethel Road and, after a few miles, turned back towards Highway 60, where he reportedly struck a patrol vehicle on the passenger side then accelerated and forced two other units off the road.
Brown then lost control of his vehicle, causing it to leave the road, striking a tree.
He was apprehended and taken into custody where he faces a plethora of charges including fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, a second offense of driving on a DUI suspended license, possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
None of the officers were injured during the pursuit.
