Hopkins County Fiscal Court Conducting Sports Park Survey
The Hopkins County Fiscal Court is developing plans to address the establishment of a new Regional Sports Complex on land adjacent to the Pennyrile Parkway/I-69 near Exit 40 (Earlington Exit). With enthusiasm, vision, and careful planning, the members of the Fiscal Court are determining the future and the impact a multi-sports oriented facility will bring to the people of Hopkins County.
The Hopkins Count Fiscal Court has decided that they need to determine the best possible move to make and the type of fund-raising capability available within our community. They feel it is prudent to engage as many people as possible in the discussion and planning process. However, before moving forward, further input is being asked from the community.
Therefore, the members of Fiscal Court retained Strategic Development Consultants to conduct a planning and pre-campaign survey. An educational website has been created that list factual information about the proposed site and facility and includes a link to the Community Survey. The website lists historical data, photos, and a page of "commonly asked questions". The address for the website is www.hcregionalsports.com. Printed copies of the survey are available at the Hopkins County Judicial Center (Old Post Office).
The Survey will be available to complete through June 3, 2012 at 5:00pm.
A public reporting session on the survey results will be held in June of this year. The date and time will be announced at a later date.
