Hopkins County Coal LLC was presented with the 2012 Commissioner’s Award of Excellence in Reclamation today (Thursday) for work done near Madisonville.
                The Department for National Resources presented the company with the designation for work in post-mining land on their 318 acre surface mining operation, which was nominated by the Division of Mine Reclamation and Enforcement office in Madisonville.
                The company also received a Commissioners’ award by the Kentucky House of Representatives, presented by Representative Ben Waide.
