An assault case in Hopkins County Monday is under investigation by the Sheriff’s Department.
            Sometime Monday, deputies went to Nortonville where a woman had allegedly been assaulted by a man with a weapon.
            The woman is being treated for her injuries.
            The Sheriff’s Department has not said if there is an official suspect or if any arrests have been made.
