A domestic dispute in Hopkins County this (Friday) morning turned into one death and another injured, according to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s department.
The incident started at about 8:30 at 1862 Forest Acres Loop. The reported victim, 69 year old David Marks, had been allegedly shot several times and was at a neighbor’s house. As deputies arrived at the residence they heard a single gunshot.Inside they found 68 year old Roberta Marks. After disarming her, they discovered she had a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Both were transported to Baptist Health Madisonville where they both underwent surgery.
Roberta Marks later died from her injuries.
David Marks is listed in stable condition.
