According to Madisonville Police, 22 year old Jeffery Carter was transported to Regional Medical Center with apparent stab wounds.
Police say 33 year old Matthew J Boyd allegedly entered Carter’s residence. A verbal altercation led to a physical altercation where Boyd allegedly stabbed Carter multiple times.
Boyd fled the scene prior to police arrival, but was located shortly after and arrested. He was charged with first degree assault.
