KSP Posts 2, 16 Reports Success from Cram the Cruiser Drive

(Henderson, KY.) -- On Friday, December 14, 2012, the Kentucky State Police Post 16 – Henderson concluded its "Cram the Cruiser" food drive. It is being considered as the best year since its start (which started in 2010). Donations were remarkable with 1,055 pounds of food. It took a full-size pick-up truck to distribute the food to various food pantries in Henderson and Owensboro. KSP also received $130 in money donations, which will also be given to area food banks.
Commercial Vehicle Enforcement weighed the empty state police truck at 5,460 pounds. This afternoon, with goods piled inside, the truck tipped the scales at 6,515 pounds. The donated goods were distributed at various food banks in the post region—just in time for the Holiday's.
