Lane Restrictions on South Bound Twin Bridge Friday
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict southbound traffic to one lane on the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson on Friday morning, September 28, 2012.
This southbound lane restriction is for required maintenance work on the bridge navigation lights.
The southbound lane restriction is expected to be in place from about 9:00 a.m., CDT, to about 12 Noon on Friday. Southbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the Trocadero Convenience Store entrance. All southbound traffic will be moved to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.
The US 41 Twin Bridges, also known as the Bi-State Viet Nam Gold Star Memorial Bridges, are located at US 41 mile point 19.649 about a mile south of the Kentucky-Indiana State Line. They carry approximately 37,000 vehicles per day across the Ohio River between Henderson, KY, and Evansville, IN.
