The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to place lane restrictions on the US 41 Twin Bridges at Henderson on Tuesday, November 27, 2012.
The lane restrictions for northbound and southbound traffic are to allow a cleaning of the bridge deck and maintenance work to prepare for winter driving season.
Both northbound and southbound motorists can expect to encounter a lane restriction starting at about 8:00 a.m., on Tuesday. All traffic will initially move to the left-hand or passing lane on the bridge approach to allow a sweeper truck and maintenance personnel to clean the bridge driving surface and perform maintenance work on the driving lane.
Sometime around midday, all traffic will be moved to the right-hand or driving lane to allow cleaning and maintenance work along the passing lane.
This maintenance work is expected to be completed by approximately 3:00 p.m. and the work zone removed in time for the afternoon commute.
Motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic on the bridge approaches.
This work zone is scheduled on a weather permitting basis. In case of rain, the deck cleaning work will be rescheduled.
