Lane Restrictions on William Nature Bridge

The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to restrict traffic to one lane on the US 231 William Natcher Bridge starting Monday, September 23, 2013.

The lane restrictions are to allow a continuation of inspection and maintenance work by the Kentucky Transportation Research Center that started earlier this year.

The lane restrictions are expected to be in place on weekdays from approximately 8:00 a.m., to approximately 5:00 p.m., local time, for about 4 to 6 weeks.

The William Natcher Bridge is at the 14 mile marker on US 231 in Daviess County, KY.  The bridge opened to traffic in October
2002 and is named for long-time Western Kentucky Congressman William Natcher.  It carries approximately 6,000 vehicles across the Ohio River each day between Owensboro, KY, and Rockport, IN.

The Natcher Bridge is at Ohio River navigation mile point 745.6.
