Local Chamber, Murray State to Host Small Business Seminar
MADISONVILLE, KY – Small business owners looking to boost their bottom line will benefit from an upcoming free seminar presented by the Madisonville-Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce and Murray State University Small Business Development Center.
The Small Town Merchant Program will be from 8-10 a.m. Wednesday, February 6 at the Chamber office, located at 15 East Center Street in Madisonville. The program features a presentation by Marc Willson, a nationally recognized retail and restaurant consultant.
Willson will offer tips on how businesses can polish their physical and online presence in ways that will encourage growth and prosperity.
A limited number of attendees will be able to sign up for a free 90-minute on-site business evaluation in which Willson will offer constructive criticism on pricing structure, curb appeal, marketing efforts, and more.
"This is an incredible opportunity for business owners to get candid advice from an expert in the field, " said Chamber of Commerce president Harriett Whitaker. "Small business is the foundation for a healthy local economy. I’m excited that we can partner with Murray State’s Small Business Development Center to offer this seminar here, at no cost."
