An undercover operation in Evansville led to the Friday arrest of a man.
            25 year old Bassil Kamali was taken in after he allegedly attempted to purchase a gun so he could commit an armed robbery.  He told the undercover agents he would pay for the gun after committing the robbery.
            Kamali met with the agents in a parking lot near Red Bank and the Lloyd Expressway.  Agents made the gun inoperable.
            As Kamali began to leave, he was taken into custody.
            Kamali is currently on probation for armed robbery and armed burglary and is considered a violent felon which prevents him from owning a firearm or ammunition.
