Man Arrested in Evansville after Shots Fired Incident Monday



            An Evansville man faces multiple charges after a shots fired call in Evansville early Monday morning.
            Evansville Police received the shots fired complaint at 12:30am at the intersection of Southeast 6th Street and Chandler Avenue.  The victim, Myron Matthews told officers a man shot at him.  Officers did find a bullet hole in the Matthews’ car.
            Officers found a vehicle near Lodge and Washington during the investigation.  The driver reportedly refused to stop and led officers on a slow speed pursuit to the intersection of Morgan and Weinbach where 26 year old William Lamr Thomas was arrested and charged with possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon, possession of an altered handgun, resisting law enforcement, two counts of criminal recklessness and driving without ever receiving a license.
