Man Charged with Burglary of Daviess County Drug Store Monday

A break-in at the Whitesville Drug Store late Monday night has resulted in an arrest.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Department responded to the Whitesville Drug Store at 11:30pm after a witness reported a man gained entry, left with a black duffel bag and took off in a black SUV.
Deputies caught up with a vehicle that matched the description and found 39 year old Jeremy Vowels of Owensboro, along with items taken from the drug store, as well as items used to force entry into the building.
Vowels was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center on charges of third degree burglary and possession of burglary tools.
Detectives from the Owensboro Police Department later interviewed Vowles about an attempted burglary that took place about 11:00pm at the Lincoln Pharmacy on Veach Road.
Vowles was charged with attempted burglary of that store.  He is also linked to three previous burglaries at the same store on May 20, June 20 and August 22.
