A Madisonville man was hospitalized after being struck by a train Sunday in Madisonville.
            At 9:30am, Madisonville Police reports 32 year old Matthew Edwards was on the CSX tracks at West Noel Avenue.  A train approached and Edwards reportedly attempted to elude the train but was unable to clear the tracks before being struck.
            Edwards was air lifted to St. Mary’s Medical Center where the extent of his injuries was unknown at the time of the release.
            CSX has opened an investigation into the collision.
