A McLean County inmate was shortly on the run Tuesday afternoon before being recaptured.
            At about 2:30pm, KSP responded to Keller Road, south of Owensboro, where a McLean County deputy jailer was transporting inmates from McLean County District Court to the Daviess County Detention Center.
            One inmate, 38 year old Danny R Benningfield of Owensboro, told the deputy jailer he was feeling ill and needing to vomit.  As the deputy jailer opened the door, Benningfield ran into an open field.
            Multiple agencies began a search, ultimately leading to find Benningfield hiding in an empty hot tub behind a residence on Fisher Road,
            He faces additional criminal charges as law enforcement continues their investigation.
