Needed Crossing Work Coming to US 41 near Lloyd in Evansville

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is advising motorists to be aware of upcoming lane restrictions on U.S. Route 41 (U.S. 41) near the Lloyd Expressway.

Railroad crews will begin making repairs to their crossing on Monday, November 12.  Crews will close two lanes of traffic at a time while the repairs are being made.  Each lane restriction is anticipated to last up to four hours at a time.  Crews will at some point also be required to close the exit ramps to and from Lloyd Expressway during the work; however U.S. 41 will NOT be closed to traffic.

Lane restrictions will take place during the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. local time each day to avoid rush hour traffic.  All repairs are estimated to be complete by Friday, November 16, weather, material and equipment dependent.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a work zone.  For the latest news and information about INDOT, please visit www.in.gov/indot or www.trafficwise.in.gov .
