According to the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Department, 30 year old Thomas Hickerson was injured after allegedly being stabbed by 25 year old Amber Martin at a residence on Lake Grove Loop.
The report describes the stabbing as being accidental, but later, the investigation revealed the two struggled, leading to Hickerson being stabbed in the chest.
Hickerson was transported to Baptist Health Madisonville where he underwent surgery.
Martin was arrested and charged with first degree assault.
