A two vehicle crash Sunday night in Daviess County caused injuries to both drivers, one of them an Owensboro Police Officer.
            According to Kentucky State Police, 19 year old Justin Daffron of Owensboro was on the 5600 block of Highway 54 attempting to turn into the Kangaroo gas station in Philpot.  As he attempted the turn, he turned into the path of an Owensboro Police cruiser, driven by 26 year old officer Jeffery Jackson of Philpot.
            Daffron was transported to OMHS with a broken femur.  Officer Jackson was transported with neck and back injuries.
            KSP believes alcohol may be a contributing factor in the crash and Daffron was also not wearing a seat belt when the 10:13pm crash occurred.
