? Owensboro Police made a response to Brescia University in Owensboro Monday night after a call of a possible suicide attempt.
Reports say a member of the college staff, allegedly armed with a handgun, was held up in a basement office.Police say a family member was with the person before officers could arrive and during a struggle, the firearm discharged. No one was injured and police say no threats were made to any other staff members or students.
The case is still ongoing and is being referred to the Commonwealth Attorney’s office.
