Parents Shop Sunday in Evansville, Leaves Child in Car

Two parents were arrested in Evansville Sunday afternoon after allegedly allowing their child to sit in a car while they shopped at an area business.
Evansville Police went to Menards where they found a seven month old left alone in a car.  They were able to get to the child and left care to ambulance service personnel.
Police made several announcements in the store for over thirty minutes with no response.  Police also alleges that marijuana was found in two places inside the vehicle.
The parents, 26 year old Ross Ivy and 25 year old Kylie Moore, eventually came to the car and it was determined that the pair had been in the store for about forty-five minutes.
Both were arrested on charged of neglect of a dependent and possession of marijuana.
The infant was placed with a family member.
