OAKLAND CITY, Ind. –The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) is announcing that beginning Wednesday, July 11, County Road 550 South (C.R. 550 S) in Gibson County will close. 
 
C.R. 550 S will be closed from the junction of County Road 800 East (C.R. 800 E) to the junction of County Road 825 East (C.R. 825 E). Crews will begin work at approximately 7:00 a.m. local time, and the roadway will reopen to traffic on Friday, July 27, weather permitting. 
 
C.R. 550 S will close to allow crews to pave the new approaches to the overpass for the new I-69 Corridor. No through vehicle traffic will be allowed, however local residents will have access to the point of closure.
