Powers Arrested Monday, Charged in METS Stabbing Case in Evansville

            Evansville Police have arrested a man in connection with the stabbing that occurred around Midnight Monday.
            49 year old Brian K Powers was arrested Monday afternoon and charged with attempted murder with a knife.
           Earlier in the day, Powers was wanted then located as a person of interest in the stabbing of a man at the METS transfer station downtown. The victim was sleeping on a bench when a man started stabbing the in the neck and chest.
           The victim was taken to Deaconess Hospital.
           Powers was lodged in the Vanderburgh County Detention Center.
