Saturday Crash in Madisonville Causes Injury, Utility Damage
A Saturday afternoon crash in Madisonville sent one to the hospital and caused a lot of utility damages. Madisonville Police responded to the 500 block of Oak Street where they say 18 year old Christopher A Ferfecki had been allegedly traveling at excessive speeds throughout the day, according to residents in the area. Just after 2:00pm, a Ford Explorer began backing out of 507 Oak Street when Ferfecki appeared at an alleged high rate of speed and apparently served to avoid the Explorer. That caused him to strike a Madisonville Utility pole then a fire hydrant, breaking both. The collision caused the utility pole to land on Ferfecki’s car, as well as dislodging three electrical heads on three houses. Ferfecki was transported to RegionalMedicalCenter for non-threatening injuries. A fifteen year old passenger was uninjured.
