An Evansville apartment fire led to the arrests of two men on meth charges Thursday night.
            According to Evansville Police, firefighters were called to an apartment fire at 7:30pm at 1416 North Weinbach.  As they tried to enter the apartment the occupants told them they did not have consent to enter.  Due to the immediate thereat to public safety, police say the fire department forced their way in and extinguished two fires inside.
            After police obtained a search warrant for the apartment, they found alleged remnants of several “one pot” meth labs, as well as items consistent with the manufacturing of meth.
            41 year old Anthony Werne and 39 year old Terry W Rexing were arrested during the incident.
