Two Arrests Made in Monday Burglary in Owensboro

Two arrests have been made following the early Monday burglary that took place in Owensboro.
Yesterday, we reported the burglary that took place at 12:30am in the 2200 block of Surrey Drive West.  Glendell Girten told police he allowed a female into his home, and she allegedly let two black men in as well.  When Girten reportedly went to get a gun, he heard a gun shot, which prompted him to return fire.
            No injuries were reported.
Owensboro Police went to the 1900 block of Epworth Lane Monday afternoon noon and observed one of the burglary suspects leaving the residence.  He was taken into custody.  A second suspect held police at bay for three hours before finally surrendering.
Arrested were 20 year old Taylor Price and 20 year old Lavelle D Happoldt, both of Henderson.  Both have been charged with first degree burglary and attempted murder.
