Bill Egeler's Bio



Born and raised on racing fuel and bar-b-que in Owensboro, KY.  Billy has been around radio and racing his entire life. Turning wrenches at a very young age on some of the areas most successful cars and hanging out with his father at the radio stations in his childhood years. Billy was NASCAR’s “Youngest ever crew chief” for a touring series at the age of 16. Working on race cars was a primary hobby until the 90’s when he jumped behind the microphone for the first time at Windy Hollow Dragway as track announcer.  From that point on, Billy has been behind the microphone at almost every race track in the area at one point or another. 


Billy currently is a track announcer at Windy Hollow Speedway in Owensboro, KY as well as Cedar Ridge Speedway in Morgantown, KY as well as host of Radio Goes Racing.

Favorite Color: All of them

Favorite sport: DUHH Racing… Because Football, Baseball, Basketball and Bowling only require one ball!

Hobbies: Racing, graphic designing and racing remote control cars

Favorite Food: Steak and Pizza (look at me, I haven’t missed many meals!!)

Pets: Tia (5 pound attack dog)

Favorite TV Show: American Pickers, Pawn Stars, SPEED Report

Favorite memories:  Being on pit road at Daytona during the filming of Days of Thunder, being a tire changer during the 24 hours of Daytona, Winning 14 out of 16 races in one season.
