A contractor for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to close the Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway southbound exit ramp to US 68/KY 80 and the US 68/KY 80 northbound entry ramp to the Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway in CHRISTIAN County starting Tuesday, September 25, 2012.
 
This ramp closure at Pennyrile Parkway Exit 9, along with lane restrictions on the main line of the Pennyrile Parkway, is to allow substructure painting on the KY 107/East 7^th Street Overpass in Hopkinsville.
 
This overpass is at Pennyrile Parkway mile point 9.517.  All traffic along the main line of the parkway will initially move to the left-hand or passing lane in this work zone.
 
There will be a marked detour for the closed ramps.  There will be no access to and from the north on the Pennyrile during this project.
 
Work at this site is expected to take about two weeks to complete, weather permitting.
