Owensboro and Daviess County officials received a visit from the Governor Wednesday and received several checks for upcoming projects.
The City of Owensboro received over two hundred and sixty-five thousand dollars in Transportation Enhancement funds for the Adkisson Greeenbelt Trail.  It will be a walking, hiking and bike trail which will fun from Meadow Lands Elementary to the new Owensboro Medical Health system campus.
The City also received another 225 thousand, as well almost seventy-nine thousand to the Daviess County Fiscal Court for various resurfacing projects for city streets and county roads.
