Kentucky State Police have arrested a Hartford man and woman in connection with the death of a four year old.
Monday afternoon, 25 year old Nathaniel Tucker was charged with one count of murder (domestic violence), three counts of first degree criminal abuse to a child under twelve and three counts of first degree domestic violence assault.23 year old Samantha Oakley is charged with three counts of first degree criminal abuse of a child under twelve.
KSP’s investigation began on Saturday after a four year old was taken to Owensboro Medical Health System with life threatening injuries. KSP reports Nathaniel Tucker was watching Oakley’s three, four and five-year old children. The three and five year olds suffered injuries ranging from bruises to a spinal fracture of the tibia.
The four year old was later transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital and later was removed from life support and died. An autopsy is scheduled in Cincinnati Wednesday.
KSP reports Oakley is alleged to have known of the abuse and failed to report it to the authorities.
The investigation is ongoing.
