Monday Night Crash in Daviess County Leads to Alleged Meth Find

An alleged active meth lab may have been the cause of a vehicle crash that took place in Daviess County last (Monday) night.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s office, emergency crews responded to the 4200 block of Highway 554 where they found a vehicle that had crashed into a row of trees.  Laying in the road were 18 year old Silvia G Pickett, who was found to be the driver, and her passenger, 21 year old Andreas Richardson, both of Owensboro.
According to stories, it was alleged that Richardson was attempting to manufacture meth when the lab ignited.  Richardson attempted to throw the lab out the window when it appeared to have exploded.  Both reportedly jumped from the vehicle before it crashed.
Picket was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.  Richardson was air lifted to University of Louisville Hospital.
The case is still under investigation.
