Evansville IceMen Sign Beaulieu for Upcoming Season



EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The Evansville IceMen have agreed to terms with Left Winger Josh Beaulieu to remain in Evansville for the his third season with the IceMen in 2013-14.
 
The 25-year-old winger had 52 points in 56 games last season for the IceMen before a laceration to his wrist on Feb. 22, 2012 ended his season. Despite missing the final 16 games, Beaulieu’s 22 goals tied for the team lead in 2012-13.
 
In his two-year stint with the IceMen, the 6’1”, 190 pound forward has played in 114 regular season games, amassing 100 points on 46 goals and 54 assists, and has recorded 147 PIM. In four playoff games with the IceMen during the 2011-12 season, the Maplewood, Minn. native scored one goal in four games.
 
In his 10-year playing career, Beaulieu has played in a total of 525 games, accumulating 227 points on 115 goals and 112 assists. For the former fifth round selection of the Philadelphia Flyers in 2005, 40 percent of his career goals have come in Evansville. Nearly half of Beaulieu’s career points have been recorded in two seasons with the IceMen (49.3 percent.)
 
Beaulieu was originally acquired by the IceMen following the 2010-11 season in a trade with the Rapid City Rush of the Central Hockey League.
