Gas Line Explosion in Mortons Gap Leads to Early Dismissal Tuesday at Hopkins Central High



A GAS LINE EXPLOSION THIS MORNING FORCED THE EVACUATION OF HOPKINS COUNTY CENTRAL HIGH SCHOOL.  THE RUPTURE HAPPENED NEAR HIGHWAY 41 AND 813.  THE HISSING SOUND OF GAS ESCAPING COULD BE HEARD AT THE ENTRANCE TO THE SCHOOL.   THE ROAD WAS BLOCKED BY POLICE FOR SEVERAL HOURS JUST PAST THE SCHOOL ENTRANCE.  NOBODY WAS INJURED.
