New Traffic Signal Soon to be Activated in Northern Vanderburgh County
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Construction is wrapping up on the U.S. Route 41 intersection improvement project at Rusher Creek Road and motorists will soon see a new signal in northern Vanderburgh County.
On Tuesday, September 17, weather permitting, all barrels will be removed and the signal will begin full activation. It is estimated the signal will be turned on by 5:00 p.m. local time.
Hummel Electric, Inc. of Evansville, Indiana, was awarded the $300,000 contract to install the signals and construct a left turn lane for southbound U.S. 41. The new signals will be triggered through pressure sensors that will activate as vehicles approach the intersection.
