No Passing Zone for Portion of SR 261 in Warrick County Planned



NEWBURGH, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) will be installing a No Passing Zone on State Road 261 (S.R. 261) in Warrick County.  The new zone will be installed on S.R. 261 near the Quail Crossing Subdivision on Wednesday, October 2, weather and equipment permitting.
 
INDOT paint crews will be installing signs and pavement markings identifying the new zone, 5.6 miles north of S.R. 66 at Quail Crossing Drive.  The no passing zone is being installed to allow traffic to enter and exit the subdivision in a safe manner. 
 
All work is estimated to be complete by Friday, October 4.  Indiana State Police will be monitoring the area for an extended period of time to monitor the area.
