Hopkins County Schools to Implement Anti-Bullying Tipline



     A NEW ANTI-BULLYING TIPLINE WILL BE UP AND RUNNING IN HOPKINS COUNTY THE WEEK OF NOVEMBER 18TH.  AT THE BOARD OF EDUCATION MEETING LAST NIGHT, ASSISTANT SUPERINTENDANT SHERRI WINSTEAD SAID THE ICON WILL BE ON THE SCHOOL WEBSITE THAT WILL HELP WITH FASTER ACTION FOR BULLYING AND VIOLENCE.  SUPERINTENDANT LINDA ZELLICH ALSO INVITED PARENTS AND STUDENTS TO CALL THE MAIN OFFICE IF THEIR PROBLEM WAS NOT BEING ATTENDED TO.
     IN OTHER ACTION, THE BOARD APPROVED AN AGREEMENT WITH RONALD JOHNSON AND ASSOCIATES FOR THE NEW CAREER AND TECHNOLOGY CENTER, PENDING STATE APPROVAL.
AND, THE SCHOOL BOARD WENT INTO CLOSED SESSION TO DISCUSS PROPERTY, AND TO DISCUSS POSSIBLE LITIGATION.
