Two Injury Crashes Reported in Ohio County Thursday
Two injury crashes were reported in the region Thursday. One of them resulting in charges brought against one of the drivers. At 2:42pm, KSP reported 43 year old Tracy Payne of Fordsville was travelling on Highway 69 in Ohio County when, for unknown reasons, he left the road, travelled down a ditch and struck a concrete culvert. Payne was transported to Ohio County Hospital for his injuries then later charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of an alcoholic beverage with aggravated circumstances. A couple hours earlier at the 83 mile marker on the Western Kentucky Parkway in Ohio County, 58 year old Donna Slavens of Middletown, Ohio left the west bound lanes and entered the median, overturned and landed on the driver’s side. Both the driver and a passenger, Don Slavens, were transported to Owensboro Regional Hospital for their injuries.
