Child Neglect Complaint Leads to Arrest in Madisonville Monday Night

A complaint of child neglect at a Madisonville hotel Monday night has led to the child’s mother’s arrest.
Madisonville Police responded to Days Inn where a four year old was found alone and wondering around the hotel.
Police found the child’s mother, 20 year old Denitra Woodson of Indianapolis.  She was found in the bar and was allegedly very intoxicated.
Woodson reportedly fought two Madisonville Police officers as she was tried to be placed under arrest.  Both officers, Russell Nichols and Justin Jones, received minor injuries in the scuffle.
The child was placed in the custody of child welfare resources.
Woodson was charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, two counts of third degree assault, resisting arrest, alcoholic intoxication, menacing, disorderly conduct and third degree terroristic threatening.
