Former Goodyear Building in Madisonville Has New Tenant



          THE FORMER GOODYEAR BUILDING IN MADISONVILLE HAS A NEW TENANT.  B AND K WOOD PRODUCTS WILL BE EXPANDING ITS OPERATIONS AND WILL TAKE OVER THE BUILDING ALONG THE PENNYRILE PARKWAY THAT RECENTLY HOUSED KI FURNITURE. 

          B AND K WOOD PRODUCTS CURRENTLY EMPLOYS 130 PLUS EMPLOYEES ON SAWMILL ROAD AND WILL STILL KEEP THAT FACILITY.  THE NEW EXPANSION MEANS 39 NEW JOBS TO THE AREA AND A 1.2 MILLION DOLLAR INVESTMENT.

          B AND K WOOD PRODUCTS PRODUCES FIREWOOD, CROSS TIES, CRANE MATS, MULCH AND MORE.  THEY DISTRIBUTE TO BIG BOX STORES INCLUDING KORGER, WALMART, LOWES, AND DOLLAR GENERAL.

          JORDAN BAIZE, THE GENERAL MANAGER OF B AND K WOOD PRODUCTS SAYS THAT 65 PERCENT OF THE TIMBER THAT THEY USE COMES FROM HOPKINS COUNTY.
B AND K WOOD PRODUCTS WILL RECEIVE TAX INCENTIVES OF UP TO 400-THOUSAND DOLLARS
