Madisonville, KY – The City of Madisonville, in partnership with Baptist Health and the Hopkins County Tourist and Convention Commission, announces that the second Friday Night Live (FNL) of the 2014 season will fill downtown with award winning blues artists and the rumblings of motorcycles on July 11th.
Headlining the July event will be Madisonville’s own Boscoe France and the “Boscoe France Band.” France was the 2012 winner of a national competition sponsored by Guitar Center. Also appearing on stage will be Larry Grisham and “The Beat Daddys.” “The Beat Daddys” were the 2014 Kentuckiana Blues Society IBC band challenge winners. Other entertainment for the evening will be provided by local musician, Rob Blumrick and the Grace Warehouse Church STOMP team.
This month’s Friday Night Live event will see the return of the popular motorcycle cruise-in and bike show. This year the bike show is being organized by the Dixie Flyers Motorcycle Club and will feature prizes for several different classes of motorcycles. The motorcycle showcase is open to all types of street legal motorcycles and motorcyclists are not required to enter the contest to participate.
